Mahabaleshwar is best place to visit in summer if you are from mumbai

Beat the heat in Mahabaleshwar

The temperature in Mumbai is getting very hot, as a normal routine while having dinner i saw news that the temperature in a Mahabaleshwar is between 12-20 degrees and people are enjoying their weekend trip with friends. After watching that news, i created a whats app group named "Lets Go Mahabaleshwar" and added all my best friends. Finally we decided one weekend to visit Mahabaleshwar.

We left early morning from Panvel and took halt at Lonalvala food court. After taking breakfast we again started our journey. Normally without traffic it takes 4.5 to 5 hours to reach Mahabasleshwar.

Distance :
Mumbai To Mahabaleshwar is 224 km
Panvel To Mahabaleshwar is 186 km

Breakfast Joints :
1) Shree Datta Snacks Corner Panvel.                        2) Expressway Food Mall

We pre-booked a bungalow in Mahabaleshwar which costed around 8000 INR for 8 people. So first we went there and took some rest. Mahabaleshwar is famous for strawberries so we decided to visit Mapro garden.

It is very popular halt for tourist for breakfast/brunch and some Mapro product shopping. It is located just 6 km ahead of Panchgani. The ambience of Mapro garden is very beautiful and you get yummy food.

We took rest at Grapevine Restaurant for our lunch. The food served by them is delicious so you  must visit this place if you ever intend to visit Mahabaleshwar.

The Grapevine Restaurant is located on the Masjid Road in Mahabaleshwar and serves awesome continental, Parsi and Italian food. The restaurant has a great ambiance, and the surrounding views are fabulous. The management has paid special attention to the interior decorations. The restaurant has a dining area inside as well as outside.

Without wasting much time we headed towards Lodwick point from where we could see the entire view of Pratapgad fort.

Lodwick Point is situated about 5 km west of Mahabaleshwar Bus stand. Previously this point was known as Sydney Point. The point was rechristened in the honour of General Lodwick, who was the first British officer to climb the hill in April 1824. Original name of the point is Domeshwar.

After capturing the serenity of the area we headed to our bungalow. We spent some time by sharing memories of our school time and then we ordered dinner from local restaurant.

Everyone was tired so we all went to bedrooms and slept. Next morning we woke up around 6.00 am and went to wilson point.

Wilson Point is also known as Sunrise Point and one can experience the beautiful sunrise from this point. The original name of the point is Sindola Hill. This point is named after Sir Leslie Wilson, the Governor of Bombay province from 1923 to 1926. Wilson Point is a vast plateau with three watching towers, each at different spot. These towers provide mesmerizing vista of Mahabaleshwar and surrounding area. However, Wilson point is the only point in Mahabaleshwar where both sunrise and sunset can be seen.
Timings: 6 AM to 6 PM

We had our breakfast at one of the stalls and left for our last destination venna lake. Can't describe the beauty of venna lake in mahabaleshwar beacause  you have to visit this place to enjoy its beauty.

Venna lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra state in India. The lake was constructed by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, who was Raja of Satara in the year 1842. The lake is surrounded by trees on all sides

By taking all these memories of two days we left mahabalesh.

If you want to cherish your trip to Mahabaleshwar please take vacation of 4-5 days so that you could  enjoy each and every tourist point in Mahabaleshvar.
